Senior journalist Purnendu Pattnaik passed away during treatment at Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar. He was 53.
Pattnaik had suffered injuries in a road accident a few days ago. His condition later deteriorated, and he was readmitted to the hospital, where he breathed his last.
He worked with several media organisations, including ETV, Naxatra News, Focus Odisha, News World Odisha, Doordarshan and All India Radio.
He is survived by his mother, wife and son. His last rites will be held at Swargadwar in Puri.
