Rayagada Police have registered a case against former MP N. Bhaskar Rao over allegations of misappropriation of more than ₹80 crore belonging to a truck owners’ association.
The case was registered on the basis of a complaint filed by Y. Venkata Rao, president of the truck union.
According to the complaint, a large amount of the association’s funds was allegedly misused and diverted irregularly. The complainant said allegations against N. Bhaskar Rao were first raised in 2023.
Police have now registered a case and started an investigation into the matter.
